ENO Tosca 2026: Dates, Cast and Cheap Tickets

Tosca runs at the London Coliseum from 30 October to 11 December 2026. Dates, what to expect, and how under-21s and under-35s can pay less.

English National Opera (ENO ) is staging Puccini’s Tosca at the London Coliseum from 30 October to 11 December 2026, as of October 2026. Standard tickets start from £25 including fees, but two membership schemes can bring that down. People aged 16 to 20 can get a free ticket, and people aged 21 to 34 can get discounted seats.

When and where

  • Venue: London Coliseum, in London’s West End.
  • Run: 30 October to 11 December 2026.
  • Double bill day: On Saturday 5 December 2026 only, there is a Tosca matinee and an evening performance of Adriana Mater, another ENO production in the same season. Check the date carefully if you are planning a day out.
  • Relaxed performance: ENO lists Tosca among its relaxed performances, where audiences can make noise and move around. Check the calendar for the exact date.

What the production is

Tosca is Puccini’s opera about a singer, a painter and a police chief in Rome in 1800. It is sung in Italian. It is one of the most popular operas in the repertoire and contains some well-known arias, so it is a good choice if you want a familiar story and famous music.

ENO’s season announcement names the creative team and cast:

  • Director: Annilese Miskimmon
  • Conductor: Ben Glassberg
  • Principal singers: Axelle Fanyo and Chaz’men Williams-Ali
  • Scarpia: Christopher Purves or Craig Colclough, depending on the performance

ENO does not say which singer takes which role in the announcement, and it lists two singers for Scarpia. Check the cast for your date before you book if you have a preference.

How to get cheaper tickets

ENO runs several membership schemes. Each one has its own limits, so read the terms before you sign up.

If you are under 21

The under-21s membership is for people aged 16 to 20. It is free to join and takes a few minutes online. ENO then authorises your account, and you can book from there. You may be asked for proof of age or ID at the venue, so bring it with you.

ENO’s season announcement describes free tickets for every performance at the Coliseum, and it gives a total of 5,000 free tickets across the Coliseum and partner venues in Greater Manchester. Its membership page says one free ticket per production, subject to availability. These two statements do not match exactly, so check the current terms when you book. A friend aged 16 to 20 needs to join separately to get the same benefit.

Children aged 5 to 15 can also get free tickets. Each full-paying adult can get two free tickets for children, but the child must be accompanied by that adult.

If you are 21 to 34

The under-35s membership is also free to join. ENO says tickets range from £20 to £40 across the auditorium for its opera productions at the Coliseum. You can book up to two tickets per production. Your guest must also be aged 21 to 34. If your guest is over 35, you will need to contact the box office for an extra ticket.

ENO’s page also shows a banner that says “up to 75% off,” but it does not explain which seats or performances that applies to. Do not rely on that figure when you budget.

Everyone else

Standard tickets start from £25 including fees, according to ENO’s announcement. This is the price to compare against if you are not eligible for a membership.

Tips before you book

  • Book early. ENO says tickets for a performance or a whole run can sell out, and membership tickets are limited per performance.
  • Check the fees. ENO’s free-ticket page does not say whether a booking fee applies, so look at the final total at checkout.
  • Keep your email. ENO sends your discount code by email. If you do not see it, check your junk folder.
